Taipei Day 3 : Jiu Fen

Day 3, we head to Jiu Fen. It's Easter Day! To save time, we book car and drove up instead. It is not worth it to get the hotel to book for you as it cost almost double of what it will cost you to take cab. We book 2 cabs at 2100NT each to bring us up, wait for us, bring us somewhere else and back (4hours). Worth it.
Well, in the event that you wanna drive up yourself, Jiu Fen's road is a little small. So, drive with care.
There are packing everywhere, so nothing to worry about.
Before you enter the old street, remember to go visit Li Yi bakery. My favourite Tai Yang Bing is from this bakery. yummy! If you order 2000NT and above(can combine), they will pack it nicely and delivery it to your hotel for you. Either the day before you fly or on the day you fly so you have more days before it spoil. The pineapple tarts can last for about a month and the Tai Yang Bing about 2 weeks while the Yam biscuit can only last for 5 days. So it's important that you get the freshest one right before you fly.
After ordering, you can now visit the old street. The entrance is right beside 7. The street is small, so don't go during peak period. It's better to go during weekdays so you have more space to walk and look at things. They have lotsa things to buy here too!
Quite a few things you must eat/buy here. The fish balls, the yam balls(ah Chang), the ginger tea, charcoal coated peanuts, Fruits Jelly, Mochi etc.
Ah Chang Yam ball is a must eat. Why not take a break from all the shopping and rest with a bowl of dessert with beautiful scenery to enjoy?
The ginger (Jiang Mu) tea is great!
 Even cats drool.
If you are urgent and do not wanna spend $$, here's a public toilet.
After leaving Jiu Fen, we left for the gold waterfall.
The copper are washed all the way to the sea. Thus the color difference.
 Scenic route back to Taipei
Taiwan has the most variety of instant noodles (after Japan). We have lotsa orders for it. So we head to the supermarket. This one is call Da Run Fa.
We bought half a trolley of stuffs!
Then RaoHe Night Market. I love coming to this night market for food!!! They have nice smelly beancurd here! and also the fried squid!
